The Studio: Control Room A
Control Room A is a 5.1 surround sound listening environment with a ProTools HD-2 system, a Mackie Digital Eight Bus console and Grace microphone pre-amps. JBL LSR28P reference monitors, LSR12P subwoofers with a separate L.F.E. Monitor submerse you in over 1 kilowatt of luxurious sound. Your surround or stereo mix can be saved on 8-track 24-bit DTRS tape, 24-bit DAT tape or bounced to disk for mastering to CD or DVD. With multitudes of sound processing plug-ins for ProTools, the virtual console can auto-tune, model guitar amps, add multiple reverbs, echo delays, chorusing, and any other sound processing effect known to producer or engineer. Also, online MIDI sequencing, tempo mapping, and MMC control of the Mackie console make interfacing to synthesizers very simple.
The Studio: Control Room B
Control Room B is mainly for pre and MIDI production, voice-over, audio for video editing and sound design. A very comfortable stereo listening room with a ProTools HD-1 system and a Mackie 16x8 console, also with Grace front-end. JBL LSR32 reference monitors powered by a Hafler P4000 Transnova THX certified amplifier engulf you with very nuance of your recording.
MIDI Pre-Production:
For MIDI pre-production, both control rooms feature full MIDI integration, sequencing, sampling, synching and looping. Direct-connection to online virtual synthesis provides analog synth modeling and full sampling capabilities. Tempo maps can be created from live drum tracks for instant sequencer sync overdubbing. A Kurzweil SP88 88-key weighted controller provides keyboard input.
Mastering:
For Mastering, Waves Mastering plug-ins provide multiband compression, limiting, and award winning dithering to put that Cherry on top!Voice-Over, Narration, and Audio Book:
For Voice-over, Narration or Audio Book, there is a spacious 6' x 9' vocal booth behind control room B. A large 4' x 4' window into control room B allows producers and voice directors visual contact with their talent. The voice booth can also be used by control room A for vocal or instrument isolation.
Sound Effects, Studio Room:
Both control rooms A & B have access to the on-line sound effects database for fast, effortless sound effect searches, increasing the creativity of Video sweetening or Hip Hop interludes. Most importantly both rooms share a 33' x 25' studio room, big enough for any band or choir. All rooms have 12' ceilings for a feeling of openness not found in "basement" studios.
Piano:
A beautiful Yamaha C7 Grand piano sits in the studio room, beckoning to be played.
Microphones:
Microphones include a matched stereo pair of Neumann U87's, a matched pair of AKG 414's, to name a few. Special microphones can be rented for an additional fee. Two 150 watt stereo cue systems, with AKG240 and Sony MDR7506 headphones provide loud, clean cue monitoring. Plus, each control room has access to both stereo cue systems.

Because of Derryberry Audio Inc's concern for comfort, the studio is fully ADA accessible, and direct access from the parking lot into the recording studio makes loading and unloading a breeze (no stairs). Of course, for a change of scenery, there are many restaurants within walking distance, CB& Potts, Chili's, Hooters, Tokyo Joe's, Qdoba, Subway, and best of all Starbuck's.
